There are about 4000 more federal employees from Gilgit Baltistan than there are from Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur combined. If this is not an anomaly then what is?

And you didn't publish the ratio of the total populaion of each province, and weather the population ratio of the provinces' population, matches with the employment ratio or not ?

Seems about right, Punjab has about 50% of the total population of Pakistan, so its share in the federal jobs is accordingly. Only disparity is the women's share in the federal services and I think it is not because there is a discrimination issue rather majority of the women in Pakistan are not part of the regular work force. They are home makers.

Does this “Federal” nomenclature include the armed forces?
The true picture will emerge when armed forces of all kinds and the FWO etc are included. Let us not mislead ourselves

@Khwaja Ali "The true picture will emerge when armed forces of all kinds and the FWO etc are included." And you may also include railways, telecom, banks owned by federal government, etc.

Several years ago veteran journalist Ansar Abbasi said on a TV show that if you go Islamabad’s federal government housing colonies you will notice 98% of the residents are Punjabis. Rauf Klassara in another TV show commented that Punjabis have over 80% of Fed government jobs. Recently a political leader from Balochistan said that out of 35 federal secretaries 33 are from Punjab that is 98%. Lastly Javed Hashmi said that Punjab has occupied Pakistan. It is hard to understand that the province of Punjab is taking unjust advantage of majority population and ignoring the rights of other provinces.

@Gul hasan I rember once ataullah Mengal said in early 80's that Pakistan is becoming a greater Punjab. 30 yrs fast forward is reality. I dont see anything but Punjabis every where. Even the other province jobs are actually Punjabis with local domicile. Walk through the Karachi airport, police or rangers. The main anchors are Punjabi and speak slang Punjabi's. So letting Bangladesh was in their benefit in numbers
