NAB: Lacking conviction

On January 21, 2016, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested the ex-administrator of the Defence Housing Authority, Brigadier (retd) Javed Iqbal, and the ex-director project of DHA, Colonel (retd) Sabahat Qadeer Butt, for misusing their authority and violating policy by selling allotment certificates of DHA Valley in Islamabad. The arrests come six years after a complaint was made to NAB by a resident of Rawalpindi, alleging that the real estate project DHA Valley was being developed on an area reserved for the proposed Dadocha Dam. This was not the first instance of NAB acting sluggishly. Here, the Herald looks at NAB’s performance since its creation in 1999.

NAB’s performance since its creation in 1999
Create your own infographics
